Johnson College Prep, Class of 2014
As a member of Johnson College Prep's founding class, Markel has taken advantage of the many opportunities the campus has to offer. He traveled to Washington D.C. with classmates to visit the White House and met President Obama. Markel spent three weeks during the summer taking a course at Brown University where he met students from across the nation, attended classes taught by college professors and traveled on a plane for the first time. He is on student council, plays football and basketball and is a recognized leader by his classmates.
"The goal of Noble is to get every child not only to go to college, but to graduate, and that's the track I'm on. When I was in grammar school, all I heard was 'Markel, you have a lot of potential' but coming to Noble set the state for me to bring that potential out. I know I'm going to college...and coming to Noble showed me that I had a future."

Rauner College Prep, Class of 2013
Yasmine was a very quiet person when she came to Rauner College Prep as a freshman. Now a senior, Yasmine has really grown and is sharing her talents with others. Encouraged by Rauner's Band Teacher to sing with the jazz band, Yasmine put in months of hard work to prepare for competition. This spring she traveled to the Berklee High School Jazz Festival, held at Berklee College in Boston, where she won the Outstanding Musicianship Award from among hundreds of high school competitors.

Rauner has helped me become a more responsible person and helped me realize that I do have what it takes to be successful.  Anything is possible as long as you work hard to achieve it.”
