Technology

Noble Street Charter School provides and supports school-wide technology resources that enable its learning community to apply appropriate technology to understand, analyze, create, and communicate with depth, effectiveness, and efficiency.

All members of our community are committed to life-long learning, creative and collaborative problem solving, and to integrating technology tools into their work.

Our students are the focus of our policies and procedures. We support their development as engaged, ethical, and empowered users of modern technologies as tools for academic, personal, and professional success in a technology-dependent society.

Our teachers are facilitators of student learning and provide models of passion for learning, of collaboration, and of effective technology integration in their curriculum and working habits.

Our administration supports and encourages a productive learning environment through staff development, scheduling, resources, and budget while encouraging innovation and nurturing open communication.

Our community supports and encourages effective learning by valuing and supporting our students, staff, and administration and by modeling the importance of life-long learning.

Our facilities provide for maximum access to appropriate technology tools and remain flexible to respond to the changing needs of the learning community.

Core values:

  • Utilize technology to enrich the teaching and learning experience
  • Solicit greater input in technology investments
  • Improve/maintain network infrastructure, security and standards
  • Enable Noble campuses to connect with community and/or enhance the cost-effective use of resources

Students receive instruction to establish skills in Internet research, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and keyboarding. The foundation skills of using technology as a tool for research, analysis, organization, and expression, prepare Noble students to use these skills throughout their high school, college, and work careers. Most assignments require some use of a computer.
